Same-day delivery, short return window — read this before you buy.
How returns work on BBM Bazaar
We're hyperlocal — delivery is same-day, so return windows are much shorter than big national apps. Most items can be returned within 7 hours of delivery (some vendors allow up to 48 hours; the exact rule is shown on each product page and in your order). Returns are picked up from your doorstep by a rider.
Delivery fee & refunds (important)
What you get back when a refund is approved
Approved refunds return the product amount to you. Delivery charges are usually not refunded because the rider has already completed the trip. BBM may grant a full refund including delivery in special cases (wrong order, platform error).
- Standard refund: Product price (and tax/discount share) — delivery charge is not returned, because the rider already completed the trip to your address.
- Full refund (including delivery): Only when BBM approves a special case — wrong order, damaged parcel refused at door, or platform error. This is decided by our admin team per order; it is not automatic.
Example: You paid ₹399 for items + ₹40 delivery = ₹439 total. A standard approved return typically refunds about ₹399 (items only), not the full ₹439.
What you CAN return
- Wrong item received
- Item damaged in transit
- Manufacturing defect
- Significantly different from what was shown on the listing
- Unopened, in original packaging — non-perishable groceries, electronics, books, beauty (sealed).
What you CANNOT return
- Used / opened personal-care items (perfumes, lipsticks, undergarments).
- Items marked No returns or Final sale on the product listing — vendors set this when adding the product (e.g. opened personal-care, perishables, custom orders).
- Custom-made or made-to-order items unless damaged.
- Items returned after the window shown on the product (often 7 hours for neighbourhood shops).
How to start a return
- Go to Account → Orders and pick the order.
- Tap Return / Refund, choose a reason, attach a photo if applicable.
- We approve eligible requests within 4 hours. A rider will be dispatched the next available slot.
- Once we receive the item and verify, the refund is issued to your original payment method or saved refund account (UPI/bank).
Refund timelines
- UPI / Card / Wallet — 5 to 7 working days back to the original source.
- Cash on Delivery — to your bank/UPI account in 3 working days (add details at Account → Refund accounts).
Order cancellation
You can cancel an order from Placed through Out for delivery on your order tracking — not after it is marked Delivered. Prepaid orders receive a full refund including delivery when cancelled within this window.
Damaged on delivery
If the box is visibly damaged when the rider hands it over, please refuse the delivery. The rider will mark it as "refused — damaged" and we'll issue a full refund including delivery after verification.
